To support an aggressive mergers and acquisitions strategy, and to position itself for the future, ited sought a Partner that could deliver it all: an open ecosystem, innovative tools and solutions, on-going thought-leadership and resources; and a platform that could keep pace with their goals and growth.
Solution
Ited leveraged ConnectWise Business Management Solutions (BMS) [ConnectWise PSA™, BrightGauge™, Service Leadership™, ConnectWise CPQTM], ConnectWise Automate, cybersecurity management [MDRTM, Identify], ConnectWise ScreenConnect™; and ConnectWise Asio™, to engineer the backbone of its business operations. ited is leveraging ConnectWise Asio as an all-in-one platform to an open ecosystem and integrated solutions – all in support of maintaining a competitive edge and capitalizing on uncapped potential.
Results
ConnectWise solutions, the Asio™ platform; coupled with ConnectWise thought-leadership, guidance, and resources, helped guide ited from a $1 million startup to a $50 million formidable IT services player. Co-founders, André Lajoie and Eric Bigras, started a managed services provider (MSP) business, dedicated to supporting SMBs across Canada. Headquartered in Montréal, Québec, ited now boasts six offices, a growing global footprint, and is poised for exponential growth.

“Our company is a consortium of over 250 information technology experts born of our union with HelpOX, Noxent and MS Geslam. With over 35 years of experience and 8 offices across the province, we serve thousands of businesses throughout Canada every year,” said Lajoie.

Ited faced a challenge: to stay focused.

“After 20 years [in business], we made some mistakes when choosing solutions and selecting a vendor or tool based on an attractive feature set like a slick UI or demo. We evaluated AutoTask, ServiceNow and some others. We learned that these solutions do not stand the test of time and can become limited or outdated. We considered the long view and knew that we needed a more mature Partner and a long-term partnership. We found that with ConnectWise.”

Lajoie continues, “operating on a ‘growth-through-acquisition’ model means that we need to be poised to transform rapidly. Our vision? After seeing the roadmap ahead for ConnectWise, especially with the Asio platform, it validates for me that we bet on the right horse.”

Given that ited is employs a grow-through-acquisition, it is notable that they have seamlessly transitioned every acquired entity from competitive products to the Asio platform, on average, within two months of transaction.

“With every acquisition, we immediately move them to the ConnectWise AsioTM platform. We have a dedicated and experienced team that handles this for us. We have it down to a science – it’s really an easy process to transition them. It might be the simplest part of the entire [M&A] process.”

ited spent a lot of time evaluating and assessing tools and Partners over the years. None of them offered the level of maturity, resources or innovation that ConnectWise does.

Moreover, Lajoie adds: “we’ve used ConnectWise for educational resources, taken advantage of continuous training opportunities, tapped into SMEs and leaned into the IT Nation community.
