Product Innovation Keynote Recap: Unified Monitoring and Management
During the Product Innovation keynote at IT Nation Connect 2022, we discussed the industry’s rapid progression to the cloud, the pressures of the pandemic, and the massive increase in devices and access points have accelerated digital transformation. ConnectWise has always been at the forefront of helping and supporting TSPs as they address these new realities.
The ConnectWise Unified Monitoring and Management solution portfolio is focused on innovations that enable TSPs to gain an infinite edge by providing an intelligent, automated, single-pane IT management solution. For example, ConnectWise RMM has released over 400 updates and prioritized integrating with industry leaders since its official launch at IT Nation Connect 2021.
Two key integrations released in 2022 include Microsoft Intune and Azure AD. Our integration with Microsoft Intune allows TSPs to manage Intune enrolled devices within ConnectWise RMM, providing a single-pane fly-out view of the compliance status of all your devices. Azure AD Backup is also available at no charge for partners using our ConnectWise Asio platform-based RMM.
As we look to 2023, we see a need to evolve beyond RMM and offer what we are calling Unified Monitoring and Management (UMM). Doing so will give TSPs a single source with visibility into monitoring, orchestration, automation, backup, and remote access to everything.
To accelerate our vision of Unified Monitoring and Management, I am excited to share three new capabilities coming to ConnectWise RMM in 2023!
- Network Monitoring: Beginning in Q1, we will offer network monitoring and managing network devices as a critical component of select ConnectWise RMM packages.
- Cloud Monitoring and Management: This will allow TSPs to monitor, manage and protect Azure, AWS, and SaaS applications directly within the Asio platform.
- SaaS Backup: This will ensure TSPs have the latest data protection and business continuity by backing up leading SaaS applications. This capability will be included in select ConnectWise RMM packages.
As part of our ongoing strategy, we will continue investing and evolving ConnectWise Automate. Over the past year, we have rolled out many security updates, optimized the performance, and released several of new capabilities. To further accelerate innovations, we are giving Automate partners:
- The ability to enable Asio capabilities within Automate
- Access to a free trial for ConnectWise Access Management™, the first of many products to come from the ConnectWise Innovation Lab
While we continue to develop Automate, we also recognize that some partners may find ConnectWise RMM a better fit for growing their business. To help simplify the process of migrating from Automate to RMM, we plan to roll out a self-service migration tool that will be available in early Q1.
Business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) is another critical area for TSPs. Given our dynamic world, risks are increasing, including emergencies such as accidental file deletion, natural disasters, and cyber incidents. These risks make BCDR essential. We have partnered with industry leaders such as Acronis, Veeam, and Keepit, to name a few, to provide seamless integrations with ConnectWise RMM. Additionally, we offer Integrated Expert Services for BCDR deployment and management.
Finally, to help partners accelerate their BCDR growth, we just launched the Partner Program for BCDR. This program provides top-rated benefits of our vendor partner programs, including:
- Co-op benefit: Marketing funds earned quarterly from license sales
- Pre-built campaigns and assets: Branded partner campaigns for land and expand
- MSP hosted events: Thought leadership with subject matter expert guest speakers
- Single point of contact (POC) and support: PDM with a focused set of accounts and marketing concierge “sell-with” services
