Formed in 2007, Resolution IT is a full-service IT firm with 70+ people based across five jurisdictions. Headquartered in Guernsey, with offices in Jersey, Dubai, and operations across the globe, the Resolution IT service desk offers support from multiple timezones for ultimate peace of mind.
Pursuing a niche of providing technology solutions to the financial services industry, Resolution IT’s team encompasses a range of experienced and qualified staff who share the same mission, to secure and transform businesses with exceptional service, delivered with care.

What’s a big win that you’re proud of?
This one! We were delighted and surprised to win the ConnectWise Partner of the Year award in Europe.
What’s next for you and your business?
We just opened our new Jersey office, so our next big project is trying to make a splash in a new market. We’ve also been embracing remote work and are lucky to now have team members based across the UK, Dubai, and further afield. Embracing remote working and using our solid cloud infrastructure has opened us up to a much wider talent pool, enabling us to hire more innovative and driven experts. We’ve worked hard to create a format that works for everyone, by including our remote workers in our team meetings every Friday, so that everyone still feels like one big team.
About the industry
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the industry?
A big challenge is certainly finding the right talent, but as mentioned above, we’re tackling this with remote work. Another challenge is being able to pivot almost instantly, as this industry is constantly changing. From a cybersecurity perspective, new threats are emerging every day. It’s vital to stay ahead of the curve and remain dynamic.
Is there one piece of advice you’d like to share with other IT solution providers?
Own your mistakes! A client once commented on how refreshing it was that we’d been open, honest, and quick to respond to a mistake we’d made with them. We told them straight away that it was human error, and they really appreciated that. Trying to cover things up can often make things worse, and to us, it actually shows a lack of respect for the client. Integrity and respect are both important company values, and in order to live by those, it’s important that we remain transparent. Mistakes are inevitable. It’s how you deal with them that’s important.

Any product features that were a game changer for you or your team?
The 24/7 support is great. If a server ever goes down, we know it will be resolved overnight. We can reassure our clients that all their critical assets are secure and safe with software that is up to date with the latest cyberthreats.
The speed we can get onto servers using ConnectWise remote software is great. We can troubleshoot issues by going backstage into our clients’ devices to make tweaks before we call, enabling us to proactively resolve issues without disturbing our clients, allowing them to get on with their work efficiently and without disruption.

Our company began in our founders’ garage! Olly and Steve, our CEO and Managing Director, converted a garage and ran the business from there. Fifteen years later, we now have a state-of-the-art, custom-built headquarters in Guernsey, offices in Jersey and Dubai, and 70+ members of the team based all over the world!
